Spaces is a fully extensible framework allowing new forms of metadata to be stored and rendered as well as new UI modules that extend collaboration or management functionality.

Spaces comes bundled with a collection of rich UI modules that provide unparalleled visibility into the metadata assets safely stored within the registry. Tag clouds, most used charts, last updated event feeds, dependency graphs, rich-text annotation, document links, etc all combine to provide a rich collaborative environment.

Allowing metadata assets to be annotated with new knowledge and learning while preserving the original form of the metadata for later retrieval.

Suitable for organizations of all sizes, Spaces supports pluggable authentication models which map to roles that in turn control access to resources and operations on those resources.

Spaces REST API

Interaction with the information stored in Spaces through a simple REST API. Access to all the underlying registry concepts such as storage and retrieval of resources (entities and properties), annotation of resources, complex searching, dependency and statistical analysis, among others.

The separation of the web application from the core through a network-aware REST API allows for more flexibility in deployment choices that in turn allow installations sized to their requirements.

The REST framework allows subscription to Registry events that can be published back to event-aware clients using the REST API. This allows you to build client applications that are notified when certain events happen such as a change to an entity or a new bulk load of data.

Spaces Filters

Filters provide for the ability to "mine" metadata from your existing software artifacts. Spaces comes packaged with filters to extract data from artifacts such as: Java, XSD, WSDL, WADL, WS-BPEL, Open Office, Open ESB, etc.

The capability to extend pre-built filters to easily incorporate collections of metadata from other types of artifact.

Spaces Core

Ability to enrich the entity and property storage model with additional metadata describing the types of data and relationships that they maintain.

Ability to manage arbitrary data concepts using collections of entities and properties.

The embedded database can be used to make installation a simple one-click process.

As an alternative for sites with large data requirements or existing data management policies, Spaces can be used in conjunction with all leading database products.
